2 p.m : Intervention of Dr Raphaël Cahen, Senior Researcher, Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen (Germany)

In his lecture, Dr Cahen will discuss the history of legal advisers in Foreign affairs. While the focus will be on the French case (which was rather avant gardist in this respect), he will study as well other European and non-European countries in a comparative perspective. He will provide a prosopography and a socio-cultural history of these legal advisers
